Bordeaux is the largest defined appellation in France.  Bordered to the west by the Atlantic Ocean with the Gironde Estuary – Dordogne – Garonne rivers flowing through the region, Bordeaux is divided into 65 designated geographic areas for wine production.  Covering the styles of sparkling, white, rosé, red, and sweet, with an annual output of 5.1 million hectoliters, Bordeaux is a haven for amazing ‘$Taste-Value-Per-Dollar$’ wine.  In this class, we will explore wines from the ‘six families’ of the region covering Bordeaux-Bordeaux Supérieur, Médoc, Blaye-Bourg, The Libournais, Entre-Deux-Mers, and Graves-Sauternais.  With a 2000+ year history,

Bordeaux is a gift of nature regarding the ‘fruits of the vine’. – Nathan Prater
